Mother-Son team, Jeanine Burge and David Gaviola opened Silver Spoon Specialties in 2010 and after 10 successful years as one of the Hamptons’ top catering companies, the business has now grown to include a Gourmet Food Shop in East Hampton. Now you can enjoy our unique, fresh and delicious food by stopping in for a quick bite and eating alfresco and or calling in a catering order to be delivered to your door. We offer a wide variety of grab & go selections, deli case specialties, daily kitchen specials as well as full-serving catering consultations.
With our full-service option, we specialize in all types of events, from super casual to extra formal. We can cater your next dinner party, beach party, cocktail party, birthday party or wedding. Each event is carefully customized to suit your needs, both budget-wise and taste-wise. We have a vast array of menus to choose from but we can also create dishes specific to your taste and/or dietary requirements. Our staff of fully-trained chefs, bartenders and waitstaff are all dedicated to making your event the best it can be! Having an in-house event planning specialist, we have the ability not only to meet all your catering needs but can also plan and execute all aspects of your event whether it be staffing, tents, decor, rentals, flowers, music, lighting, security, parking, portable restrooms or anything else that you may require.
We, at Silver Spoon Specialties, are committed to creating beautiful and delicious food made only with the highest-quality, local ingredients. We are based in the Hamptons but can travel to any destination in Suffolk County. We will do everything we can to meet and even exceed your expectations. We will be taking a seasonal break and closing the store from Sunday, January 17th through early March.

Jeanine and David are amazing! We've been lucky to book them the past 2 years and can't hope to see them again this year! We usually travel with our friends who have young kids. Going out is not easy and we don't want to grill every night. David created a delicious tasting menu that made us feel like we were in a Michelin star restaurant! He also did a wonderful family style dinner for us last year. I highly recommend them! Very professional, easy to work with regarding diet and budget, can't say enough good things!!
My wife and I hired Silver Spoon to cater my "surprise" 50th Birthday over July 4th week. I cannot even begin to express how satisfied we were with Jeanine and her staff. From the time they arrived until cleanup, everything went perfectly. The food and selection was phenomenal, the staff as professional and courteous as they come, and the the seafood raw bar "shucker" and display was an absolute hit!!! Jeanine, you followed through on everything as promised and then some. Your food and attention to detail was commented on by everyone, and Violeta and I can't thank you enough. We worked with Jeanine Burge and her son Chef David of Silver Spoon to plan a graduation and birthday party for our high school senior. They were fabulous! The food was delicious and laid out very creatively for a buffet style lunch and she paid attention to every detail including helping me with decor. Her staff is very polite, efficient and always smiling and I would definitely use her again and recommend her to others.Thanks Jeanine!
Last week we had the pleasure to have Jeanine and Silver Spoon Specialties cater for a large photo shoot that I was producing in Quogue, NY. EVERY single member of the crew and the models commented every day on how delicious the food was. The food was so flavorful and as well presented as it can be on a fold out table in the basement of a location house! Jeanine and David are just wonderful. I cannot recommend them enough and will certainly be using them again when we shoot again in the Hamptons, 5 STARS all the way! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making the most important job of a producer on set (the FOOD) look good.
Our Retail Catering Storefront is open all winter Tuesday through Saturday! Our catering is still available for takeout and full service events 7 days a week.
